"As a recording studio artist, I left the insulated rooms to perform as a soloist in the United States and the Middle East, as well as part of bands in London and Istanbul."
My journey with music started with Oud lessons and eastern music theory at the age of 12. Within two years, I found myself composing music for the instrument.
I continued to develop my Oud skills and recorded for several Middle Eastern composers in Jordan and Palestine. During my time in England and Turkey, I played with several bands dedicated to combining Middle Eastern music with other World Music instruments. This helped me develop my own improvisational style which adapts swing jazz into World Music traditions having worked and performed with Indian, West African and Western instruments."
